CRM Horrors: Cafe Coffee Day — The Price of an Empty Paper Cup Equals the Price of a Full [Paper] Cup of Coffee

At the Cafe Coffee Day outlet at the Bangalore International Airport, I asked for an empty cup (paper or plastic; any size) so that I could share my coffee (an expensive one bought a few seconds back) with someone who I was with. Seems they can’t give one. I offered to pay. Seems an empty cup costs as much as a full cup of coffee. Management for management’s sake. True CRM horror.

What has your experience been?

  1. lol!!. May be you should have offered them to purchase their whole store instead of an empty cup. Oh! btw you could have also offered them some advise on how to sell only empty cups at the price of coffee, that way it would save the management lots of money and help the company grow even with the economy tanked, just because these cups can be recycled where as coffee cannot be.. This is a load of horse crap, I should have been their mate, I would have snapped the vendor’s back like they were twigs. I wonder what’s the vendor’s perception of a customer really is that all customers are cursed with “Subnormal intelligence” to buy out such arguments?.. You should have asked him.
