I don’t recollect having seen this advertisement on television. Do you?
I had written about this particular advertisement way back in January, 2006. Here’s what I had said back then:
Here’s a true example of an advertisement that is captivating, fun to watch, and memorable. It’s an ad for the Peugeot 206.
The ad starts on a busy Indian street with a guy walking towards an old Ambassador. He gets into the Amby and thrashes it’s front and back against a wall. Next, he gets an elephant’s butt to kiss the bonnet. Finally, he hammers it and welds it into shape. The result of all this exercise: the Amby now looks like the Peugeot 206. There’s more and it’s the best part of the video. I’ll let you discover it for yourself.
The acting’s brilliant, especially towards the end where the guys arrive at the party in the amby-turned-206. The cockiness with which they nod their heads to the music is simply unforgettable.

Your blog is nice. I think you should add your blog at BlogAdda and let more people discover your blog. It’s a great place for Indian bloggers to be in and I am sure it would do wonders for your blog.
