An interesting statistic: Tags contribute just over 5.0% of all site traffic! This particular site improvement tip came from a reader (SB, if you’re reading this, a BIG thanks to you).

  • Looks like a traffic plateau. Time to ask for suggestions.
  • How would you promote this blog?
  • I’d love to hear your ideas — plenty of them.

Site Statistics — August and September 2008

August and September together. Not sure if I will touch the 25K pageviews mark by November, 2008. I wasn’t able to focus much on the blog in August and September.

Site Statistics — July 2008

by Vinaya HS on August 2, 2008

in General Stuff

  • I can’t believe this — I hit my target of 20K pageviews a full month early. In fact, I almost touched the 22K mark; a full 10% above my target!
  • Pageviews are up by 17% and absolute uniques are up by 19% over June, 2008.
  • I drilled-down into the stats and this surge in traffic is primarily due to all the personal finance posts that I’m passionately writing.
  • My next target is to hit the 25K pageviews mark by November, 2008. Of course, I do not want to go below the 20K milestone in the intervening months.

  • I’m pretty close but still have some way to go before I hit the 20K pageviews target that I have set for this site. I’d love to hear a few tips from you on how I can get there.

Site Statistics — May 2008

  • It’s been a roller-coaster since January. May was particularly bad, but expected since I suffered a bout of the blogger’s block. March had seen the same results; I didn’t write much in March since I was settling in at my new job.

  • I want to hit the 20K page views per month mark by September. I’d love to hear a few tips from you on how I can get there.

Site Statistics — March 2008

  • A slight dip in March since this blog’s web-host suffered a freak power outage for two consecutive days.
  • I’m sure that the stats will rebound in April. Wish me luck!

When compared with the site statistics for January 2008, there’s been a:

  • Modest 2.27% increase in pageviews.
  • Cool 8.41% increase in absolute unique visitors.

GEO Blog Stats - Feb 2008

Note: February statistics are normalized to 31 days for comparison purpose. The November 2007 figures are not normalized (I forgot!) and will not be featured from the next update.
