Resolutions for 2007

Thanks for visiting Capital Advisor. I frequently update this blog to cover various topics on personal finance such as investment strategies, financial products that you should buy and ones that you really should stay away from, financial calculators, emerging themes such as early retirement and financial independence, and much more. You can Subscribe through Email and receive new articles directly in your Inbox or you can Subscribe through the RSS Feed and receive new articles in your feed reader.

Here’s my one-year five-point program for 2007:

  1. Back to Fitness One (it’s tough while you’re studying!)
  2. 30-and-if-successful-365 day give-up-coffee program (it’s already begun!)
  3. Re-organize finances (using my newly acquired knowledge!)
  4. Track spending (cost streams!)
  5. Construct a birthday database (messed it in 2006!)

[The first one is inspired by Steve Pavlina's 30 Days to Success article.]

I know all of them are personal. I’ll set my professional goals in about a month’s time when I will be re-entering the corporate world. Wish me luck.

Have you made your resolutions for 2007?

Such useless resolutions.. Why on earth can anyone think of giving up coffee. What about Infinitea and Barista and all those wonderful times spent there. Giving up coffee, huh. Ridiculous.

How many times have you started to track your expenses.. and what do you achieve? What the heck is a birthday database – Oh you want to build it using DBase III , Amazing man!!!

You lost ur mind after #1 resolution. Why dont you trim ur list:
1. Fitness One.
2. Forget everything else.

Dabba nanna magane, coffee bidtiya…baa bengalurige.

Eeeeeks! Don’t remind me of Infinitea and Barista and “all those wonderful times.” I’ll turn “senti” and then you have to face the wrath. :-D

That’s exactly the reason man. I have resolved to keep a strict tab on my revenue streams and cost structure. :-D I have to use my new found knowledge somewhere nah?

Do you remember DBase III @ SKCHEC? Hoo Boy! That was one project you had undertaken.

I wanted to know if anybody dared to normalize that database project of mine in SKCH. I probably would have hit DKNF baby!!! Such was the requirements and what a problem statment to define that database.

I second Goutham’s point. Useless resolutions! Throw all this dumb resolutions and and enjoy life, do whatever you want and live happliy! Life is short, so enjoy it as much as you can.
Silly Guy!
