A funny incident happened the other day on top of Gilbert Hill. I had completely forgotten about it until today. That day, Sudhir was sporting Nike sandals for which he had paid 900 bucks. Vinayak was sporting Adidas for which he had paid 2000 bucks (and purchased on my advise). I, on the other hand, was wearing “Performance Sandles” (it’s printed that way on the sandals) which I had purchased for 300 bucks in nearby Lokhandwala.
While navigating a slippery rock on top of Gilbert Hill these were the outcomes:
Sudhir went “Wheeeeeeeeeeee…” but managed to balance himself. Vinayak went “Wheeeeeeeeeeee…,” followed by a “Thudddddddddddd…,” and then a couple of “Bump…Bump…” and then came to a standstill. I, wearing my “Performance Sandles,” was stuck to the rock like a lizard on a wall.
They don’t say “Made in Lokhandwala” for nothing.
