It’s not everyday that you wake up at 05:00 and discover this in your e-mail:
“We have issued a Credit Note on Kingfisher Airlines. This credit note can be used for booking on any Kingfisher Airlines flight and is valid for 1 year from date of issue. Kindly find details below:”
Now, a credit note is issued when you cancel your tickets. But I hadn’t cancelled mine. I need to be in Mumbai on the morning of the 26th and my flight leaves exactly on the morning of the 26th. I got up and washed my face again just to make sure that I wasn’t dreaming. I came back and the e-mail was still staring at me. Hurriedly I called up KingFisher Customer Care. A quick check and I was told that my ticket was indeed confirmed and there was no reason to worry as the e-mail was probably generated in error. “Hah!” I thought, “Step into my shoes and you would be worried for sure.” I double-checked online and my ticket was indeed confirmed. Hopefully it will stay that way.
I’ll make it a point to cross-check regularly until I board the flight. It’s certainly not a good thing to greet you when you wake up.
