Thanks for visiting Capital Advisor. I frequently update this blog to cover various topics on personal finance such as investment strategies, financial products that you should buy and ones that you really should stay away from, financial calculators, emerging themes such as early retirement and financial independence, and much more. Not to be outdone, the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) too has launched its Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS), an automated grievance management system that is available 24 * 7.

To lodge your complaint,

  • Dial 080 22370711/22/33/44
  • Follow the voice instructions carefully
  • The IVRS will allot a docket number for your complaint
  • Retain this docket number for future reference and status enquiries
  • The complaint is now forwarded to the Assistant Executive Engineer for redressal

The IVRS monitors the response to the complaint and escalates the issue from the Assistant Executive Engineer to the Chief Engineer if the officials do not address the complaint within 48 hours.

Let me know if the system works.

Dear Sir,
Your relatively new Power Transmission facility located between Residency Road on one side and Rest House Road on the other and facing St. Joseph’s College on Museum Road has very powerful Projector lamps on your roof. At least 4 of those projector lamps are directed towards my Living/Drawing Room and Master Bedroom which face Rest House Road. These powerful lights which shine directly into ours and our guests eyes in the Living/Drawing room and into our eyes in our bedroom are extremely disturbing and distressful for elderly retired people. It is an intrusion into our privacy and peace of mind.
From 05/01/2011 these projector lamps have been kept on from dusk to dawn. It has been switched on today at sunset.
Please make immediate arrangements to either keep your lamps turned off at night OR turn them away to face Museum Road or Residency Road so as not to cause us this distress and discomfort.

Thank you.

Ajit Matthan.
