Pomegranates - from Art Is Joy

Did you know that the sweet seeds of pomegranate tossed into salads or savory recipes offer numerous health benefits?

The fruit is a good source of vitamin B, C, iron, fibre and polyphenol antioxidants, compounds that protect against a host of diseases. Several studies show that pomegranates helps to inhibit the growth of breast and prostate cancer, helps to improve blood vessel function and protect the heart. Besides, they are also used to control diarrhea and expel intestinal worms, helpful for treating bladder disturbances, strengthening gums and soothing mouth ulcers.
