Yesterday, at a Citibank ATM, I was waiting for my turn to fight with the ATM machine. The guy, who we shall name Mr. Not-So-Lucky and who was currently fighting with the machine, dipped his card in, entered the required details, dipped his card again, and then stood still. After a few minutes, the screen simply came back to the idle prompt. The guard on duty suggested that it could be a network problem. So, both of us quickly jumped to the end of the second queue. At least we could see the second machine dispensing money.
Wonder of wonders, another guy enters the ATM, walks up to the first machine (all the while thinking that we were crazy to leave a queue empty), and then walked out with his money, leaving Mr. Not-So-Lucky wide eyed.
I asked the guard on duty if there was a “Suggestions/Complaints” box. He simply said, “No.”
