Thanks for visiting Capital Advisor. A friend recently told me his tale of woe.

This friend worked at a popular IT shop and predictably put on loads of fat, thanks to the freely available snacks. He was soon chosen to go onsite to the US of A. Desiring to present a neat and trim figure to the client, he chose VLCC for a crash-course in weight loss. Model-like receptionists had him signing up without a second thought. The method adopted was to burn fat by passing electric current through his body over several sessions. During one such session something mysterious happened and he received a higher dose of electric current than recommended. Jolted, he had a bad fall resulting in a slipped disc. The institute refused to accept that it was their mistake.

Result: wasted money, no weight loss, a missed onsite opportunity, a slipped disc that would take ages to heal and worse, the emotional agonies. Last I heard he was planning to drag them to court.

Moral: There is no magical way to lose weight. Only regular exercise and healthy eating habits will get you there.

Writing this post gives me a great idea; to document the various organ enhancing ads shown on television. Stay tuned…

That is really bad. I never knew they used electric shock to burn fat. I would rather live with fat than go in for such a treatment. Improving your body metabolism is a better choice. I feel you could obviously use their name in your blog, nothing can stop you.

Hey Vinay..

This is so right.. I read about one such case in the newspaper, about one ladies hair and face getting messed up due to some treatment they gave her. She could not get it corrected without plastic surgery :S

I guess there is no fast track to anything. So prevention better than cure right?

I am myself on a fitness spree right now (decided better get on it now, or my Gujju metabolism will get me before I hit 30! :D) How did you get so slim? any tips?

Wish me luck!

Just read the post about passing the current through your body in order to lose weight,I really do wish it was that simple to lose weight but alas it isn’t so it took me over a year to lose my weight still not there now, only two things are needed lots of exercise and eat the right foods that is all I did.

And now it is paying off slowly but surely.
